Image
MANCHESTER UNITED 1-0 WEST HAM UNITED  GAME REVIEW -Samarth Purohit -Editor: Mitansh Kagalwala Photo Via: premierleague.com Manchester United faced West Ham at Old Trafford, needing a win to keep their top 4 challenge alive. The game was tight throughout, although Man United were arguably the better side, looking much better than their other, recent performances. The match was an important fixture for both teams and will go far in determining who goes to Europe and who does not. Manchester United temporarily sits atop the top 4 position, though Arsenal and/or Tottenham are likely to displace the Red Devils at that spot. The biggest contribution this match will hold isn't just the 3 points, but the momentum that the Red Devils have gained. If they keep up their form, Europe does not look far away. United's defence has gotten much stronger, with Harry Maguire having a solid performance after returning from injury, and Varane proving why he was the perfect CB for the club.

CHAMPIONS IN REBUILD PART 2 MANCHESTER UNITED -Samarth Purohit & Mitansh Kagalwala We're back with the second part of our Champions In Rebuild series, where we take a look at clubs that once dominated the footballing world, but have since fallen down the pecking order, and are currently in a state of rebuild. In Part 2 of the Champions In Rebuild series, we visit cold, dreary Manchester and the legendary Old Trafford, to meet with the Red Devils.  THE GLORY DAYS Ah, Manchester United. The Red Devils are probably the biggest club in world football, and they have had some legendary teams, players and managers worthy of the title. First, there were Busby’s Babes. The job of manager of Manchester United in the early 1900’s wasn’t the glamorous position it is today. The club was relegated from the top division twice in the 1930’s, coming dangerously close to bankruptcy. In 1941, during the Second World War, the Nazi Air Force bombed Old Trafford. Following that, Manchester United

PLAYER RATINGS FROM MANCHESTER CITY 1-0 CHELSEA

PLAYER RATINGS AS MAN CITY BEAT CHELSEA 1-0 AT HOME - Mihir Mehta and Vivaan Jain -Editors: Samarth Purohit and Mitansh Kagalwala MANCHESTER CITY Ederson - 7.5/10 - Excellent stop to deny Lukaku a goal from Chelsea’s only shot on target. Had some good positioning but did not have much to do throughout the game. Kyle Walker - 7/10 - Made some great runs in the second half to try to capitalise on the attack but wasn’t troubled defensively. John Stones – 7.5/10 - Troubled by Lukaku just once in the game, and shut down the Belgian in an excellent game for Stones. Had little to do in defence against a lacklustre Chelsea attack. Aymeric Laporte - 7/10 - Looked calm, cool and collected and was all around confident with the ball. Joao Cancelo - 8/10 - Absolutely stellar with the crosses and was also responsible for the assist of the sole goal of the game. Magnificent as always. Rodri - 7.5/10 - Controlled and dominated Chelsea defensively and acted like a shield for the City defence. Bern

4️⃣ TALKING POINTS FROM TOP OF THE TABLE CLASH -Mihir Mehta -Editor: Mitansh Kagalwala Photo Via: manchestereveningnews.co.uk 53,000 people witnessed as Manchester City extended their winning streak at the Etihad to 12 consecutive games, beating Chelsea 1-0 in an edgy encounter. It was almost a must-win game for Chelsea, who came into this game knowing that a loss to the defending champions would leave their push for the Premier League title in tatters. They kept it tight for the main part, with Thomas Tuchel opting for a more conservative lineup, looking to hit City on the counter. Chelsea defended well, shutting down any sort of attacks that City managed to muster. However, a moment of individual brilliance from Kevin De Bruyne proved to be their undoing as the Belgian skipped past N’golo Kante before curling it into the far corner as Chelsea’s defence stood still. Joao Cancelo had another excellent game as well, playing a good first-time ball to De Bruyne to catch Chelsea’s defend

A club famous for playing beautiful, attractive football. A team that fought together and played together; a team that even Sir Alex Ferguson once called the greatest team. A club with a history full of revolutionaries, from Johann Cruyff to Pep Guardiola, from Ronaldinho to Lionel Messi, from Luis Enrique to Xavi-Iniesta-Busquets, from Ronald Koeman to Carles Puyol, from the Dream Team to perhaps the greatest ever single generation a nation has ever seen. A club that boasts 26 La Liga titles, 31 Copa Del Rey’s, 5 UEFA Champions Leagues, and 3 Fifa Club World Cups. A club that is more than a club, a club that is a spirit. Mes Que Un Club . FC Barcelona dominated the latter half of the 2000’s and the first half of the 2010’s. Indeed, that team's success raised the bar so high, it ev

PLAYER RATINGS FROM CHELSEA'S THRILLING 2-2 DRAW VS. LIVERPOOL - Parth Pabaru -Editor: Mitansh Kagalwala Photo via: thisisanfield.com On Sunday night, Chelsea took on Liverpool in a blockbuster clash at Stamford Bridge. The game got off to a fiery start, with Sadio Mane being booked within the first 30 seconds. Christian Pulisic was gifted by Trent Alexander-Arnold, but failed to round the keeper, before Sadio Mane put away a similar chance at the expense of Trevoh Chalobah. A delightful lobbed pass from Trent then caught out the Chelsea defence, and sent Mo Salah through. A body feint got him past Marcos Alonso and he beat Mendy at the near-post to double the lead. Chelsea struck back through a brilliant volley from Mateo Kovacic. Five minutes later, just before half-time, Pulisic equalized, after N'golo Kante's pass caught the Liverpool defence flat-footed. Both keepers were on top form, keeping the opposition at bay with some brilliant saves. In this article, we take a

The Gunners continued their sharp rise after their disastrous start, which saw them bottom of the table at one point, and outclassed the leaders for a good hour. Bukayo Saka opened the scoring in the first half, sweeping home a low cross from Kieran Tierney. Riyadh Mahrez equalized from a controversial penalty, and Rodri stabbed home the winner in injury time, Pep taking a leaf out of Sir Alex Ferguson’s playbook of late goals. With this win, City extend their winning streak to 11 games, and their lead at the top to 11 points.   1.     Oh Arsenal, back to their old ways: As the first half drew to a close, their looked to be only one winner, and it wasn’t the table-toppers. The second half started in much the same vein, but then Arsenal did what onl
