Manchester City and Liverpool played out an electric 2-2 draw at the Etihad in the biggest fixture in the race for the Premier League. Both team's pushed hard, and it wasn't hard to see why exactly the two are the probably the best in the world right now. Here's what we made of it:

ALISSON- 6/10

Made 2 stunning saves from sterling and jesus and kept Liverpool in the game in the early stages.

TRENT ALEXANDER ARNOLD - 5/10

Wasn't at his usual best but did assist Liverpool's first goal with a fine layoff for Diogo Jota for the 1st equalizer of the match. Was caught out of position for both of City's goals, however.

VIRGIL VAN DIJK - 6.5/10

Lead the team well and made some clever diagonal passes setting Sadio Mane and Mo Salah on their way. Managed the backline well and guided the players in front of him taking up a major role , as always.

JOEL MATIP - 6/ 10

The ball, unfortunately, deflected off him leading to the first goal but continued his fine form by restricting Phil Foden to minimal shots.

THIAGO 6.5/10

Bossed the midfield at times and played some lovely through balls, almost splitting the entire Man City defense at times.

JORDAN HENDERSON 5/10

Was a leader on the pitch but wasn't involved excessively in the game and was substituted around the hour mark.

FABINHO 6 / 10 - Guarded the backline well and put his body on the line to stop any blue shirt from passing through.

SADIO MANE - 8 / 10

Scored seconds into the second half and was lively , troubling Kyle Walker on a couple of occasions. His contribution could prove to be priceless in Liverpool's hunt for the title.

MOHAMED SALAH - 7/10

Played a simply beautiful pass setting up Liverpool's second goal. The Egyptian King wasn't at his mesmerizing best, but even then, he marked his influence on the game, continuing a wonderful season.

DIOGO JOTA - 8 / 10

Enjoying his best ever season in a red shirt , he added another goal to his wonderful tally and played a crucial role in the match , equalizing early in the game.
